Ta Mee ar see Ki kay!

Ha!Ha! Got a shock when went to eat noodles yesterday morning. Ki Kay again. From $2.50 to $3.00.

The reason? I mng ti, I mng ti but si beh chai hia!!!!! So the strategy for boycott is this. First do not eat from the ki kay noodles stall ( the far end row towards MRT) and drink tea and coffee at home! Hmm.. now they are always asking if we want to order beverage and we sniggerly asked "Wu Ki Kay boh?"

Saw the late movie De ja Vu last night featuring Denzel Washington. Pretty good but yawning now! Talking about movie, recently saw the Adjustment Bureau with mybakuteh. A very weak attempt to visualise the Almighty in a human way. The only thing you get to learn is not to open doors anti-clockwise. Ha!Ha! You will understand when you see the movie!

Today is Wednesday - midweek and one day before our flight to Peth. We are leaving 5.50 pm on Thu and will arrive at about 11 pm. This trip will be a little adventurous as we will try dinner on board!

Cha Boh Ji

Ha!Ha! Today is Internnational Women's Day - the Day the press keeps on asking questions like why so few women Prime Ministers, why so few Company Directors, why so few in politics and then rake up the history books for great Women. For the woman on the street, just enjoy your special day!

Can't believe the Toshiba aircon at home is obsolete. No spare parts at all, so says the repair man. So finally figured out what to do. Remove the bad one in the master bedroom and replace with one of the two remaining good ones! Behold, three becomes two. If the plan is on track, we will be enjoying the coolness on tomorrow night.

Ha!Ha! The joy of retirement. Went for breakfast and saw some ladies, bua yen chi, walking stylo mylo. Then realised it was a working day. You see everyday is a Saturday!

Rained last night and looks like a wet day today.

Eeek! Petrol price in Singapore has crossed the $2 mark! Hey why the gasps?? The indianboyfriend got no car leh! Let's hope taxi fare will not rise in tendem with the coffee in the coffee shop ( they are called Easting House here - yeah eat up your money!).

Private Treasure Chest!

Ha!Ha! Look at the money box! This is what is really meant when saving for retirement! Saved money in cash and use as newspaper and breakfast money every morning. Heard that mybakuteh has one too stored in a large coke bottle under lock and key. Well you know which bank to break after this little box!

Alamak! Went to to church yesterday and the topic from the Pastor was .. gasps..Mountain Top Experience! She said that once you descend from the Mountain it it back to to the realities of life. Blush.. how true.. She also said

your Sundays on the Mountain now becomes Monday... hmm like today.. Wonder how she know about us!

Today is medical money. The indianboyfriend has a doctor's appointment

and mybakuteh has blood tests to do. Funny thing about seeing the doctor is that you wait for more than one hour and he sees you less than 5 mins!

Tecnical failures are piling up at Yishun. With the aircon down for a few weeks, now the Washing Machine has picked up the bad habit. It just got lazy and stops at wash. Refuses to spin anymore. Guess got to got to Chong Pang and buy a large spider! Ha!Ha! It will be pretty hard to get a contractor who can repair air con and wahing machine!

Hope the TV will not fail again or we may end up witha 3 D TV!!!

Ha!Ha! The indianboyfriend and mybakuteh are back on Singapore soil. Had sms and email from the children asking our whereabouts. Kaledoscop3 challenged us to come out and identify where we were.

But where else but maintaining our health while mountain climbing. The last trip mybakuteh took up Kaledoscop3 challenge: eat own food in Jetstar. As there is no where Jetstar say you cannot bring in own food, we got our KFC in by chance as the plane was earlier ofr once! So in went the chicken, the coleslaw and the potato. And the sneaky thing was when the plane took off,

the indianboyfriend as usual went to sleep and did not wake till it landed. And he saw a smiling mybakuteh who said she ate up the coleslaw, the potato and had a bite of the chicken. Must be a prank. But lo and behold when we got home, the indianboyfriend saw the coleslaw and potato containers empty in the sink to dry and teeth marks on the remaining chicken! Ha!Ha! There you are, Kaledoscop3 was right. Next time will try to bring in roast duck!

Today is Sunday, the Lord's Day and time to worship our Creator.

It rained dogs and cats last afternoon. It was so heavy that even the sheltered pathway from the bus-stop could not keep us try. But today looks like a good day. Enjoy! Come Thursday, we will be back in Perth with the super cool fan and the extra water mattresses! 20 kg already!

Kopi kee Kae!

Alamak, just when Garmen giving all the bonus payout, the Coffee Shop wanted to get its cut too. The Coffee is now raised to 90cts up 10 cts. Wa Low! How can? Sugar price up? We also order sui tai! The only response is to boycott the shop! Or go and demonstrate at the Speakers' Corner, Man!

Coffee price went up but not service leh. Yesterday, resident got stuck in the lift!

And what better way to beat the summer heat than with a hurricane fan!

And why is the hurricane fan lying on the overhead pedestrain bridge in AMK? Well it is a long story. The fan was purchased from Courts and have to to ta ba to get home. That stretch of road is over fenced up and the only way to get across to ta ba is to use the bridge! Lau mia hia hue loh! Lugging 7 kg for a long distance and over the steps! Well it is worth the effort and will be timely for Sarge Wen to study in more comfort!!!
And what was the result of mybakuteh's pangchonging? Well she got a few things of course and a new travel amenity bag for the indianboyfriend.

It is Good for the Soul

Ha!Ha! The search of the Cobbler has ended. And Sarge's Sole is restored to newness at a reasonable price. Alamak, when came out of Chinatown MRT suddenly saw so many cobbler but this is the biggest cartel in town.

Went to the most honet looking one and he said $15 for complete sole for one pair. Aye sye kiam biah... No! The best price, he snouted. So went to the nect one. Also same price. All same price. Wow must report to the Trade department for price fixing. SIA has to pay millions for its Cargo business in Europe man!

Had another maranthon sleep last night and we are back in shape!

Today is Midweek and time to go the library to do some work. Mybakuteh is planning to go chong panning. Oh yes, we cut the pomelo! Really sweet.

Extreme Sports Can be dangerous

Ha!Ha! Celebrating birthday in comfort by staying at the 5 Star hotel next to the mountain top! And what a better way to start the climbing day by a sumptuous buffet breakfast at Burswood buffet price! And the most memorable moment of the mountain climbing? To receive the certificate for achieving 50,000 credits.. err... what we meant was feet of climbing!

And what else could have gone wrong? When the inclement weather struck with a heavy fog and the return plane was diverted to Guangjouz! And when it comes to service recovery, the budget airline that flies from terminal 1 gets zero marks. After check in at 2 am, there was still no plane in sight. This was common as their planes are always slightly late. But not this one. Then one hour of silent before there was an announcement that all flights will be delayed due to diversion by the fog. There was no Rep over there and we could get no development until three hours later. All we were told was the airline in Sngapore has been contacted and the person cannot so anything as she awaits orders from the Aussie HQ. In between, it was free bed at the airport.

Then at 6 am, there was the annoucement that a plane will be sent at 5.15 pm in the afternoon but the airline was finding for aircraft, pilot and staff. Many have been asked to booked the other budget airline back at their own expenses. We had to wait until 8 am when we were told the rescue plane was confirmed. We were led into the immigration and had to fill in the documents again. Wow go to one place, enter immigration twice. How to fill in the time. Of course to climb more mountain as baozhou. So we did and returned in the afternoon and checked in. The plane did arrived and while the anxious people were queuing up yo board, they were keep waiting for an hour! There was another delay as the rescue plan had suffered a loss of power. And they continued with the boarding. This is another most memorable post birthday occasion. When we were seated the silly Captain announced," The auxilliary power unit is not working but we can fly without it!" This send chills down the spline and scuttling for prayers. When the plane was pushed out of the tarmac, it could not move and had to signal the group crew to help. Finally it moved to the runway to take off. Will it have enough power to take off? And luckily it did. What was scary was the plane has problem gaining height. Just when it went up, it suddenly surge down again the the landmarks below got bigger! W thought the plane will return to base and another extra mountain climbing trip the follow day! But No, the kamakaze pilot pushed on. Now the GPU is off, is like the car battery is not working. They use the group GPU to jump start the plane. When the plane is on the air, the engine drives the battery, not the GPU. Then the loss of power. The scariest thing is what happen when the engine stops. You cannot restart it as there is not internal GPU. In fact when the plane finally landed, Praise the Lord. they could not let us out until the group GPU was connected as if they switched off the engine all the internal lights will go out! So much praise for the Aussie owned budget airline. No service recovery - just a sorry from the Captain for double delay!
Anyway, praise the Lord we are back safely!Today is the day to fight with the cobblers of Chinatown! Ha! Ha! Why can't everyone go to KK instead  and climb the mountain like Lta Ennoying???
