Back to Work

So here they were at the Airport Terminal waiting to board thier aircraft with stowaway food delicacies - bak Kwa and bak hu!!! Before the afternoon flight yesterday, one last stop at Race Course road! Unfortunately we took a novice lady taxi who twist and turn the route there that the metre jumped to $16 - more than the fare to the airport!
Ha!Ha! Got an approval stamp from first time Angela!  And look at the accessories that went with the meal.
Always too much rice and you really not realise how much rice you eat until you have finished. Sarge Wen's ritual of eating fish head curry was to visit the toilet first - to wash his hands, He said that it must be eaten with hands!
The debate was whether it is right or left hand?

Well everyone was happy with the sumptious meal! Local news.. more floods in bukit timah and orchard road. Some of the basement shops were wrecked by the waters. George Yeo finally asked some representatives to collect the Presidential appllication form! Meanwhile the ex- IMF chief has pleaded not guilty to the charges. He looked pretty mean and arrogant in the photos! Today is Tuesday and the Queen's birthday is over and it is back to work to earn more money for the next Singapore visit! ( Some one was mislead by Sarge Wen that come to Singapore no need to bring much money - costs will just be transportation and food.. that is until someone went Orchard Road to walk walk!!!!Have a great day!

Melbourne Singapore

Ha!Ha! It's Melbian, not Melbourne. We went to the main one at Ang Mo Kio block 232 and we petrified to see a queue of over 50 people. Yes over 50 people. Luckily Sarge Wen knew of another branch in Toa Payoh. We jumped into the taxi and headed for Toa Payoh Central. Luckily again Sarge Wen called his friend and found out the place was Lorong 8, Block 211. When we arrived, NO queue. We were soon whisked to the airconditioned room upstairs.
Something to die for for sure. Sarge went wild - jia mee fen, jia soup. And it alone was enough to feed all of us. But wait.
This was the dish of the night. With the mun tou, it was fabulous.
Here we were slurping up the wonder crab. And there was lime juice to go with it. And after meal, it was shell viewing on the wall of fame.
Ha!Ha! It's Queen's Birthday holiday today and also Father's Day in Singapore. No much fanfare for Father's Day though. Sarge Wen and Angela are heading back to Perth this afternoon and there is one more thing to do before they take off. Fish Head curry! Ha!Ha!
Local news... flash floods in the city and a man murdered in Ang Mo Kio Park. Have a great day off!

Chong Pang Frenzy

Ha!Ha! Delicious flat fish cake fish ball mee. With delicious coffee and tea at Chong Pang.

Then off to tailoring or alteration. There were 12 pieces of clothing including a jacket. This was the only one that was opened in the morning.
And it's to the hair dresser after brekky. Wash & blow only. Price is according to the size of you crown. Angela $12, mybakuteh $8, Sarge Wen $8, the indianboyfriend $2.50. Soon it was time for lunch and it has to be the Sin Ming kam chai ark!

Ha!Ha! Long queue as usable and now it is completely self service. Spicey tasty soup for sure. And Sare Wen never forgot his favour oyster egg.

The oysters were fresh and when dipped in the sauce, it was heavenly!

It was not the best ambience but the tummy is more than satisfied...Stay around for more news especially the crab feast at Melbian! Have a great weekend!

No 4 is No One!

Just look at the tasty No 4 Mee! And double bowl of soup!
And the happy man getting his food after mybakuteh queued half an hour for it.
And all the happy people. Sarge Wen went wild and over ordered an array of food. There was chai tow kuay, chui kuay, yu cha kay and chok, on top the the bowl of bak cho mee!!! And Kopi peng to go with it!!!

Mirror mirror on the phone, who is the fairest of us all! Why it must the iphone owner. No more cracked screens from now onwards for Lta Ennoying. Sarge Wen's glass was cracked too and it was replaced at the same time. Fast good and not so cheap! Ha!Ha!
Today is a big day - Chong Pang for breakfast and clothing alteration and then kam chai ark at Sin Ming and them Lion King! Ha!Ha! Enjoy the weekend.

Ms Fix It!

Alamak... my prized Clog slippers failed me. The toe holder snapped a few days ago and I destined it to the dustbin, But Fix it mybakuteh says No. She whipped up her Superglue and did an instant fix it. And you know what! It worked and it is as good ( well not actually) as new! Wonder if the manufacturer provided life time warranty???
Back from Mothballs. The indianboyfriend has been looking high and low for a Bicycle shop in Yishun. Then yesterday he asked a group of youngsters parking their bikes at the MRT. Yishun central, one said. So off the indianboyfriend went for the resusitation job. The tyres were pumped up, a nice lock purchased. And what is more is a back passenger seat and two pedals to rest the legs on behind! And now it is packed outside the house which means more space for the kitchen. Let's see what creative use mybakuteh will make of the freed space. Now going to Pang Chong or Central is no issue. We have become mobile.
Sarge Wen and Angela arrived safely early in the morning at past 4 am. Their checked in luggage probably caused the delay. Sarge Wen has an elaborate feasting itinerary! Watch out for photos! Ha!Ha! He planned for No 4 at 7 am and it is now 8.15 am and they are still sleeping!

Marvellous Chong Pang

You never get tired of the array of fruits in Chong Pang and most of which at affordable prices (except oranges!). Yesterday the indianboyfriend tried the famous Yishun Central Laksa... it was really good and going only at $2.50! And look at the deserts to follow in the same shop.
Mybakuteh says this is the cheapest deseert shop in Yishun. And it has the widest spread for sure. What is more heavenly than have a bowl of steaming hot laksa followed by an ice cold chendol!!!!
Today is Thursday and Sarge Wen and Angela are on the red eyed flight to Singapore. Ha!Ha! 50% surcharge for post midnight taxi plus airport surcharge!!!!
Local news... MP Tin Pei Lin annouced her resignation from E & Y to concentrate full time as a MP. It rained dogs and cats yesterday afternoon so it was a quiet day at home. Mybakuteh found another offer for Magnum. These are the smaller ones at 6 for $9.00. They taste awfully good eating them on the couching and watching "Breaking the Magican Code" - how they could saw a lady into half and gravitate another. After seeing how they do it, you become quite unimpressed. Better not know! Quote of the Day by Frank Sinatra... the casino is the only place where money talks - it says goodbye. Also it is the best place to get a heart attack. With all the cameras watching the reponse rate is 20% better than elsewhere in the states! Perhaps the attack will come when Money starts to talk! Have another great Day!

Mei Yu xia ye hao!

The hunt for Magnum caramelle had been rather unsuccessful. In our search we found a Fairprice offer! 6 sticks for $7.75! Although not as thick and firm as Magmum the foour flavours ( including tiramisu) were pretty good!
We have been visiting Chong Pang quite frequently for breakfast due to the variety of food there. Look at the delicious authentic Lontong!!!! And walking around Yishun is full of surprises. Look what we saw at the shop below.
Ha!Ha! The costume Srage Wen rented for his E & Y function. Presidential election is coming in August and those of us who did not vote has to register or our names will be expunge. Can be done on line. Here is the lead
This has to be done before the announcement of the Presidential election. Once restored, you can go to the overseas centre, if you want to, in Canberra and register to vote for the President!!!
Today is Wednesday and mybakuteh is preparing to clean up the room for Sarge. The indianboyfriend little table office has been evicted to the other room!!!
Have a great day!
