Beatty Retirement Home Gets a New Inmate

Ha!Ha! Beatty Retirement took in its third application... Justin the Dog! He seems to have adjusted well by doing what he does best all day ( and night ) - sleeping!

Some how or rather, his new favourite spot is on the corner of the corridor where the three doors merge. Perhaps the vantage is excellent!
The house is as clean as a whistle as he is control of his toilet. Only the dog fur litter is now a new sight. So it looks like a happy adjustment and he will be used to this until Sarge Wen leaves the country!

Ha!Ha! Figure this out! Watched an icelandic movie last night where  divorced mother had a live-in lesbian lover. She arranged for a weekend to be away so her lover will be with her adult son. The planned worked and the lover conceived and delivered the baby. Holding up the baby, the confused son asked,
So my stepfather is a lady and my son is also my brother! No wonder the economy went bust!

Sheng Re Kwai Le, Khang En!

Today is the Day. Happy Birthday Lta Ennoying! The most important day of our lives. And here is another celebration video.

And what is a birthday without a pic of the cake cutting!

And guess what! Due to hard times and soft heart, Sarge Wen took in another tenant!

Now we have the problem of having two Justins in the house. Last when Justin when to the kitchen, the dog followed him. The indianboyfriend wanted to play with the dog, so he called Justin from the lounge area. And guess what, Dr Justin pop his head out!!!And what does he do the whole time?

Hmm.. Napping all the time... Look at all the delicious shoes and no biting or chewing. We thought in the night he would be up to his tricks - so we put the garbage up high, moved the shoes higher, put the dog food in the basin and keep all the snacks. Yet we afraid he may chew the wires or pee all over or even poo. So all of us went to bed ready for a Sendai type tsunami the next morning! And the morning came... all was quiet on the western front. The house was as clean as a whistle. No smell, do disorder, just a little confuse doq walking around. The indianboyfriend took him for a walk and out came the pee and the poo. That was what happened last night too! So according to myabkuteh, he was A one! Guess who came to visit in the morning?

Heard there are Balloons in the office so Kaledoscop3 will be bringing back some old memories for Justin!!!
Sarge Wen is organising a crabby session this Sat afternoon and we found Dr Justin has the scoop and measuring caliphers... Heard the session is ending and there may not be too many crabbies crawling around! But according to Kaledoscop3, the venture is guaranteed by her colleague!

A great party with overflowing food. And a supposedly "Ugly" Birthday Cake that tastes heavenly. Let's start off with the Birthday song!

What is a birthday without pressies... Here is the pressie from Kaledoscop3, Sare Wen, Sian and Justin... Got coin pocket but no insert for photocard... have to wait until next year but slower wait that Sarge Wen's Christmas pressie.. Ha!Ha!

What about the food? The Barbie was a hit for sure with the saugages and skewed meat. Then the wonderful Hokkien mee ( dark type) with the la poh! The Birthday Boy says the secret is the fishball but it should be the la poh!

The tua Bao was also a hit but people were cautious not to completely filled their tummy by eating one. Myabkuteh brought some sweet potato soup and water melon which was also well received. Here are the pics.

Also there was a canine visitor called Bandit! Some were shocked that Lta Ennoying had another dog to make it Four! ( Ha!Ha! I am Number Four)

Ask the nice owner by "Bandit" is the name and the answer was obvious.. the patch in the eye. But why not Pirate? Ha!Ha! The name has been taken. Otherwise it will be the high seas that night with two Pirates of the Langford- bens!

Never mind it is back to work this morning, the day will be filled with nice warm memories of the celebration!

Kah Kee jiap

Ha!Ha! Yesterday was a quiet morning until Sarge Wen wanted to eat the ten meatballs at IKEA. And to buy a kah kee jiap ( Do it yourself) Book Shelf.

Ten meatballs exactly. Sarge Wen has to adjust his hair before eating as too many people watching. Kin told us later than on Tuesday, the meatballs are only $2.50 per plate and you can swap the frieds for vegetables! So it is back to Kwa kay See ( See furniture).

The camera phoneis very helpful. Just click and then go and collect the item. The indianboyfriend is amazed at the variety of items and the very low price. Mybakuteh bought six ice-cream cups ( no, we have not bought the ice-cream yet) fo only $7.50 and a toilet bruch for less than $1! We went quite equipped. Look at the wadrobe we finally settled for.

There is no problem in fitting it into the Aspire! The issue whether the indianboyfriend can assemble it! So he took up the wardrobe challenge. Ta, ta, ta! One the same afternoon.

Time for inspection. Mybakuteh failed the fitness of the door fitting properly. Sarge Wen politely said he was impressed but failed it too for not fitting the upper stopper for the doors. But thanks to the tools - hammer, screw driver and power drill, it was a "cha bu toa" case. It was Church then and praise the Lord we managed to find our way that on time.

What is this? Waiting for a table at Bateman's in the evening when Lta Ennoying and Kin took us out for dinner. Even with a booking!!!

The first to arrive was the famous tofu coated fried chicken.

And the whole spread! It was worth the wait for sure.

And it was a clean sweep for all! Lta Ennoying analyze it as not so much the good food but the lunch we ate! It was a very lovely pre-Birthday Meal for sure!

Ha!Ha! for the first time, there was no ta bao at Bateman!

So ended a most eventful day!

And today? Spudshed of course! Ha!Ha! free Newspaper.

Makes your mouth water, man!!!

Late Night Visitor

Ha!Ha! Look who popped in last night to deliver mybakuteh her belated birthday pressie. Why, the famous postcard birthday Giver! Don't play play. This chap reached the base camp at Mt KB at 2.30 pm. This means he reached tit is less than 6 hours! The indianboyfriend took 10 hours but Lta Ennoying says the worst case according to the guide was 16 hours... 2 am at night!!! Must be a 80 year old person for sure!!!

Nice home dinner for all with delicious dishes and nice soup! Notice the pics are getting better as there are complaints people on this blog do not smile! In the background outside the window you can see the Macadamia nut tree. It is towering to the roof and a decision has to be made on whether a transplant is needed. Talking about plants or err. transplants, the garden plants are doing pretty well. Look the flowering creeper in all its bloom:

And there is more. The chillis are forever working hard to produce its fruits.

And the lime fruits are coming. Look at the baby fruits.

Pretty bountiful, aren't they? In the afternoon, we were shocked to saw over TV the Sendai tsunami. It reminded us of the 2004 tsunami. Pray the good Lord will watch over this and protect the people of Japan.

Today is Saturday and it is church day. Pray for the continued providential care of the Lord! The weather has been kind it was nice and cool when the indianboyfriend went for his evening jog. Beatty Avenue is becoming a treasure cove. Lost of furniture being thrown away and there is even a mountain of Milch across the street!

Good Morning Perth!

Ha!Ha! It is unbelieveable that in the afternoon you are at Yishun eating chai tow kuay and at night you are in Perth. So much for modern technology!

Jetstar was late again and when they annouced a technical problem, we were prepared to lug our luggage back home - altogether 40.6 kg! But it flew an hour later and we we relieved they were just replacing some expired parts.

We hit Perth just before midnight and the place had only one aircraft landed so there was no queue in the customers, and the officer were super friendly. Tried to put two forms into one again but this time we were directed to the check lanes and passed! The yellow gold ( ginger at $35 per kilo over here) passed customs! In a giffy, we were out on the parking lot looking for Sarge Wen's car. But it was not there. Soon we had a call... he overslept! But all's well that ends well and we reach Vic Park and was pleasantly greeted by Justin!

The feedback we had was this blog is becoming very hokkien. Why? Wa mien ti, wa mien ti ( wo wen tian)!!!! Ha!Ha! If you hve not watched the Taiwanese Ai ( Love) show you may not understand this is the title hokkien show in the serial which runs up to 900 over chapters... endless love must be!

Oh yes, tried to order dinner on board but the service is super slow. Did not get served until 9 pm. Then no more chicken rice so order vietnamese curry rice which is army food. They put it the prepared packet food into the oven and heat it! Once bitten twice shy- so mybakuteh ate sandwiches instead... Our advice is to pack your own food. The only unfortunate incident was the clusmsy indianboyfriend  running the trolley over her toes.

The final brekky before heading to Perth. And we love Chong Pang. Coffee boh ki kay ( mei zhang jia). Still $70 cts. Image Yishun selling at 90 cents! And the Yu chai kuay ( yu tiao) is still 50 cts each. So we got chui kay ( sui kao) also at cheaper price than Yishun too! This type of breakfast, jia leow jin siong! ( chi le hen zhuang).
Well it it back to a cooler autumn and to the wonderful family. Big event coming up next Tuesday Man! Good Morning Perth!

And look who is there to welcome us in the morning! Nothing is more heart warming that family warmth!

Si Pei Ho Koon leh!

Ha!Ha! The Masterbedroom aircon has been resurrected from death! The contractor looked high and low for the PCB but none in stock as the model has become obsolete! None in the second hand market too. The indianboyfriend thought he would be out of pocket to replace with a new one when the Contractor came up with a brilliant idea. Why not replace the one of the working unit with the faulty one. And when he arrived yesterday, he improved on his idea. Instead of removing the units, he just replace the working PCB. And it worked! Alas, a cool night's rest with no perspiration. In fact the room was so comfortable that mybakuteh is still sleeping when this is written!

And when the faulty washing machine saw what was happening with the body parts transplant, it got coold feet and suddenly started working again! And all the bed sheets got washed by maybakuteh!

So everything is back to normal. Hmm better not say as can hear the Samsumg fridge humming. Ha!Ha!

We are all set to go this evening at 5.50 pm via Jetstar! Looks like we got a full load. The two bags at first weigh is 36 Kg already! Better confirm today if got luggage otherwise don't know what to do with two huge abandoned luggage at the airport!

As a grand finale, we are walking to Chong Pang for breakfast. Plan to eat U chai kuay with coffee... yet coffee and the price there is 70 cts and if ki kay, only 80 cts which is the same as Yishun old price.

The jet plane's waiting and the taxi's blowing its horn ( cannot ta ba as luggage too heavy).
