Meanwhile in Mistbane, fog alert is up in the city. Well on a foggy day, you cannot see forever! Wonder if the airports will be closed and Kaledoscop3 have to spend the weekend doing the rides alone at Movie World!

The indianboyfriend is familiar with BIG win, although yet to experience it but this morning it is BIG breakfast.. the works... bacon, egg, all thrown in...Hmm got to go and swim this afternoon for sure..

Well the Europe escape has finally come to an end today and at noon London time, Lta Ennoying and Kin will make a 12 hour flight to Singapore touching down at 5 pm, pending no BA strikes. But no rest for the wicked as the following day they are off to Hanoi for three massages a day schedule!

Local news is all about money.The richest family in Singapore is the Ng teng Foong family ( he passed away recently) with nett worth of a staggering $7 billion. MAS has made a profit of $10 billion.. The indianboyfriend feel like singing Trevie McCoy song, I want to be a billionaire but he does not want to be next to the Queen.

Today is Friday and weekend is here again. The indianboyfriend will be off the blog until Wednesday. Xin Chao!

Ha!Ha! This is a video of the Water Puppet show in Hanoi which Lta Ennoying. Kin, the indianboyfriend and mybakuteh will be seeing this Sunday... The trip is not to buy the sourvenir puppets at the theatre as they are sold at a fraction of the price in the roadside shops a stone away!

Local News...In changing for Vietnamese currency learnt that the Dong has really ding donged.. One million dong is now only $71!! Looks like we are all milliondongs!!!! In Perth the archbishop has criticised Gillard for being an aethiest and fears that as PM it may affect the tax free status of churches and funding of church schools...World news not very good. Pakistani plane crashes killing 152 people.  Chemical explosion in China also killed several people.

Back in Yishun, myabkuteh is pursuing her "bargain buys" of apparels that are going for a song...She became such a good customer that the shop specially invited her to return on Friday because xin wo are coming!!!

In Europe, Lta Ennoying and Kin visited Disney yesterday and are heading for London again for a Cotswold countryside tour... wonder if they brought their poetry books along.

At Yishun, it rained last night but stopped to a drizzle this morning. At Brisbane Kaledoscop3 is aghast to wake up at 6 am everyday.. it is 4.00am in Perth! The hotel is nice by the river but she has to take a 30 min train to office everyday.. Quite frustrating to learn the Gold Coast is not far away!

Local news... Chairman of SIA aged 64 is planning to step down. In case you may not know he was the indianboyfriend's economics night class teacher when he told the A levels part time. Very nice man..

9 Years Later in Florence...

Ha!Ha!Lta Ennoying is in Florence now. Nine years earlier in 2001, Kaledoscop3 was also in Florence. See any similarity in the background?

Well it is the French Speaking Mickey Mouse they are seeing today at Disney land!

Local news...  kissing Taxi driver was jailed for 2 weeks for kissing the hand of a female passenger. And he did that twice... in Europe that would be a sign of chilvary and gallantry!!! Taking about taxi... in Perth they have crackdown on Taxis for not wearing uniforms. Learnt there are only 1800 taxis in Perth...No wonder you can hardly see them...More taxi stories  Last weekend at the airport, we were in the taxi Q and a Mercedes pop up for the man in front. He did not want to take it because the Usher offered the group in front of the man a large taxi for $50. He thought that Mercedes cost more! Well the indianboyfriend and mybakuteh enjoyed the fruits of his rejection and rode in style back to Yishun...

Rained this morning and luckily the indianboyfriend brought a brollie since he took the train to work.  Beneath this world it the international connections of a family.... Myabakuteh and the indianboyfriend was in KL, Kaledoscopic 3 is now in Brisbane, Sarge Wen in Perth and Lta Ennoying and Kin in France! Wow! Separated by distances but still united in hearts.
Local news. Garmen very good. Found out most litterbuds are cigarette butt throwers, they have come up with a cigarettee butt case given for free to smokers..Go to http://www.straitstimes.com/  and look at the collector's item... perhaps it should be buried with them after they are subcumbed by disease!!! They should throw away the cigarette, not the butt!!!
The week brings Lta Ennoying's tour to an end and they are due in on Saturday to begin another one in Hanoi.... Hope Typhoon Conson has petered out....

Couldn't Wait Another Day Too

Ha!Ha! Had the first taste of Magnam Gold the other night, bought by Mybakuteh. It was the most expensive ice-cream I have eaten on a stick - $3.90! Verdict okay, nice but I rather take the gold in the vault than go for Magnum gold... Back at Europe, Lta Ennoying has passed Assissi ( see pic above) and is now heading to Grenoble the city of the Alps and the 1968 Olympic city. Bonjour! The pic on the right is mybakuteh's creation of durian bun - made from the left over $2 durian we ate on Sunday!

Superman in Reverse. It was reported in the states that a woman rob a MacDonald joint wearing an underwear as a mask... Well she certainly was a heads up over Superman!!!In Perth, papers say the median price of property close to the city is still an affordable $415K.
Swimming saga. On Wed, the indianboyfriend drove up to the pool and found he left hi swimming things at home... again! Yesterday he had everything but the moment he heads off, the rain started... There is something about this swimming thing that is not right for sure!
Today is Friday and the weekend is round the corner. Kaledoscop3 will be spending part of it in Brisbane on work assignment while the indianboyfriend and mybakuteh will be mountain climbing again.

Back in Yishun, it is more creative bread. These raisin bread, just tested for breakfast are saleable... very nice and not too sweet.

Local news.. it rained quite heavily this morning and wonder if more trees will fall or more floods. Perhaps garmen should eat humble pie and learn from KL where they use the road tunnel as an alternative to collect excess rain water. The biggest local news is the Filipino maid for worked for a woman doctore for over 25 years. When the doctor died last year, she willed her orchard road flat to her plus $6m dollars! She must have been more than a daughter to the doctor as she has a nephew. Not so good news is the COE which has risen to $36K for small cars and $42K for larger ones.. Maybe it is a good time for the indianboyfriend to dispose of his trusty Matrix! Overseas news... Dear Kelvin Rudd is said to be offered a UN job on climate change.. hmm why not job change.. Ha!Ha!

Today is already Thursday and this weekend is the strenous mountain climbing exercise! Ha!Ha! And tomorrow is the $8.3 m Toto Jackpot...Wonder who Mr Teo will visit this time....Have a great Day for sure!

Raining Trees

Ha!Ha! It rained again and this time it is not floods but fallen trees. An unfortunate 31 year old driver was crushed to death when a tree fell on his car at Yio Chu Kang. The papers reported that a record 240 trees have fallen over the last month! Reminds me of the beaching whales.. now the falling trees.. Ha!Ha! Lta Ennoying and Kin are beginning to suffer from fatigue and sickness. They are now enroute to Florence to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
Back in Yishun, it has been a week of dinner desert surprises. Mybakuteh whipped up bubour terigo, green bean soup and even tua swan.. Well there is the pleasure of having a woman in the house - you are well taken care of!!!! Hmm beginning to feel the tummy bulge.
Losing th eold googles may be a blessing as it forces the indianboyfriend to buy a new one which passed the test yesterday with flying colours. Completely mist free!!!!
Mr Teo came to visit Mybakuteh last week but it was the younger Mr Teo tian poh.... Hmm this Friday is $8 m... hope the anglicised  Mr Jack (pot) Teo Tao Peow will come! Perth news... Perth coffee is still cheap by Australian standards at $3 - $3.50 per cup... But in Singapore, onlhy 60 cts at Chong Pang!

More Floods

Ha!Ha! Floods hit Singapore on Friday morning and garmen has not come up with a good explanation yet except it was the freak sumatra winds. Many condominium with previously cute basements, were flooded.

Local News.. Biological clock. As the indianboyfriend was out of town mybakuteh was afraid she will oversleep for the morning exercise. So she set up not one, but THREE alarms clocks set in succession. And the result? She woke up just before they were supposed to rain. Nothing like the biological alarm... and the best is the indianboyfriend!

Europe news.. Lta Ennoying and wife has left the Vatican and is moving to Capri where Surrento is. Remember the song ' Come back to Surrento?" I thought there was a surrento also in California USA....Local News.. the 818 durian stall in Telok Kurau selling mao sun durian had it good over the weekend. Stanley Ho, the Macau Casino king, sent his private jet to buy $2000 worth of durians from the stall. Reminds me of the Sultan of Brunei who flew his 747 to London to buy Kentucky for his children. But the Indianboyfriend also got wah... He flew jetstar to eat at Matsuri in Perth!!!!

The movie Inception has hit the top box office in USA. The indianboyfriend say it in Malaysia. It is a MUST watch movie because it blows your mind. It moves you to the dimension of mind manupilation via dreams. One word of warning, you need to follow the movie closely or you will not understand what is going on! Well it is back to good old Singapore and had a surprise breakfast prepared today.As usual it is too much - a large curry puff and a goreng pisang.

Four angle Bean

Ha!Ha! No place in ole Sayang so settle for Mako instead. Surprisingly the bill came less than Spices Cottage.  Mybakuteh ordered four angle  bean...should it not be called a quadrilateral bean? The buah karut chicken was good... The English name for buah Karut is opium nut... now you know why somebody is addicted...The speciality of the house, the steam toufoo was fresh but the bak hu was a little salty. And of course rounded up with the Melaka chendol....Worth a second visit for sure....

Overseas news.. Japan has now invented a rice cooker than can make bread!!!! Local news.. an architect got an award for his tree house building in Singapore... Ha!Ha! The resident should keep some monkeys and snake.

Today till Monday, the indianboyfriend is on training so no blogs until Tuesday...European update.. Lta Ennoying is now in Venice and moving south in Italy before heading for Paris. Back at Yishun got a new clean up at the tooth brushing stattion - got new tooth brush and everything tidied up. Even my bristle toothpick has now an honoured place in another toothbrush holder on the mirror.  And of course the indianboyfriend treasured four blade gillette shave in placed on a princely holder. Meanwhile the indianboyfriend pretty sad no one noticed he has new spectacles... Well once a si mak always the same si mak! 

Ha!Ha! Starhub came back and offered 8 free channels to existing subscribers up to end of this year.. What they do not know is we are going to terminate the contract soon!

Si Mak (Four Eyes)

Ha!Ha! What happens when two Si Mak went to Melaka? Make specs of course! But it is quite tricky. The specs and frame are on offer for 199. So Mybakuteh wanted to make a chromatic lens using the 199 frame. This means 150 more. But the present pair lens were chipped. So we asked, if the offer is 199, from frame and lens, and we did not use the lens, can we take those lens can replace the present specs. The sales girl was of course a little confused in the beginning but when she regained her composure, she quickly said, the chromatic is 200 but we discounted it 150 because of the 199 offer. ( Are you following the argument?) So we say okay, we pay 50 and now mybakuteh has a brand new pair of lenses on her current specs and a new chromatic one.. Very stylo milo leh.. it the sun it turns dark blue...May the indianboyfriend will do through the same routine next trip!

Perth news.. new maternity benefits mean that maternity leave is now 14 weeks and more payouts up to 7000 for those earning less than 150K.Local news.. National day is coming and the flags are up. Some cars are displaying mini flags too.Today is already Wednesday...Over in Europe, Lta Ennoying has passed through Germany and is now in Switzerland. SMS the indianboyfriend for the Yishun address. We are overjoyed.. we are going to get a postcard for switzerland!

Melaka Hotels

Ha!Ha! Hotels in Melaka... if you search hard enough you may find great deals and forget about the $400 ringgit Equatorial or Rennaisance .This one is next to ole sayang and is as comfortable as you can get. It even have a balcony.  In fact mybakuteh said she had the best sleep for the whole of that week! Ha!Ha! As we came out, we saw Melaka Time hotel next to it. Goggled and found it is even cheaper - $58 for a single room! Maybe try next time and stay in Melaka for one week!!!!

Did not sleep early last night but quite recovered as spent practically the two hours over the TV with eyes closed! Local news.. COE prices may shoot up as COE are now being cut progressively. Elderly citizens are complaining about the new fare structure as it costs more now to make trips. Garmen try very hard to explain by saying look at the big picture.. Aiyah no picture not sound lah for transport fares.

Perth news.. Sheraton will soon be no more and become Pan Pacific.. so you need to say you are going to the Pan Pacific buffet next time!

Real Peranakan Food !

Ha!Ha! While Lta Ennoying and wife are Europe trotting ( they are in

Germany today), the indianboyfriend has been Melaka trotting at the same time! Had the chance to feast on the peranakan food again, this time in a restaurant called cottage spices. We found a great hotel next to ole sayang and believe it or not with the tour buses pouring in day after there, there was no seat for us to eat in that place. But the meal was just as good especially the assam fish.. though the chap chay could be improved. As usual it ended with a nice cold bowl of chendol.

There has been reported cases of slashing of handbags in Melaka... The passengers in our bus were victims and lost a wallet with credit cards in it...

What else did we do in Melaka? Watch a $10 Ringgit movie of course.. It was a choice between Toy Story, Dispicable Me and Knight and Day and we went rightly for the flesh and blood one. Tom Cruise is quick funny in this crime thriller! But long queue to buy tickets on Sat. Next time must buy via internet as the internet line has no queue!

World Cup... Well the Octopus told the truth and Spain won after extra time.. yawn.. the extra time is having a toll on the indianboyfriend... The game was not all that exciting as it was scoreless throughout. But it ends the World Cup saga for another 4 years... I guess next will be Youth Olympics in Singapore.

Today is Monday.. a sleepy day for sure and lucky no more jia ban as the the project is now over...

Crayfish

Ha!Ha! Matsuri Japanese Restaurant in Perth becomes Harakiri when car smashes into the premises. Matsuri...Madsuicide? Next time go there better sit far inside or problem man... Still in Perth freak storm hit Parkwood in cold winter and tree crashes on house...
Back in Singapore, it is sunny and hot! And Lta Ennoying stopped over yesterday to eat his Mee Pok... and get his feet tortured! Lunch was at the Hong Lim Hawker centre with mybakuteh and the indianboyfriend. Pretty hard to get a seat of four. Finally we got it and it was crayfish noodles - xia po ho fun!  And of course Lta Ennoying went snooping for more food and ended up with fried carrot cake! It was a cheap and good meal and every ate to the fill. Mybakuteh ate the famous cha kuay teow which she rated as exceptional!
Lta Ennoying and Kin left last night for a 13 hour grilling flight to London!
Local news.. two Pioneer JV girls jumped to their death recently due to depression.
Today is Friday and the poor indianboyfriend has to jia ban. But it will be total rest tomorrow to Melaka... sleep, sleep, snooze, snooze on the bus!

Trust a Sotong

Ha!Ha! The indianboyfriend crawled out of bed again to watch the World Cup and it was worth it with trhe stupendous goal from Spain. Think Spain is definitely the better team with all the control. And the Octopus in Germany is the soothsayer. It predicted all of Germany's outcome correctly for this year. Two tins of food are placed in front of the creature with food inside. The first one it opens is the prediction! Hmm.. after the world cup ... yummy yummy sashimi.,...

And what is the other pic... Cavair, man. Went to a special lunch yesterday at Fullerton and they served cavair! Reminded me of the TV program mybakuteh saw where the travellor bought a loaf of bread and a few tins of cavair along the Siberian railway route and chew his way through!

Lta Ennoying and Kin flew in late last night and lunch today will be the hot sweaty Hong Lim  hawker centre but with great food like crayfish hor fun and cha kway tiow!!!!

Work is pressurizing these few days but it will pass soon.

Baring for a Good Cause

Ha!Ha! Company organized a children cancer charity at lunch time and you will  be amazed at the number of people who volunteered to be shaved bald! Two of them are ladies and they travel by public transport. Hats off to these dedicated and caring people.

Ha!Ha! Red eyed day again for the indianboyfriend as he watched the semi-s

last night. Was a pretty exciting match. Holland 1-0, then 1-1, then Holland 2-1 and then holannd 3-1 and then 3-2... then whistle blew. Some remarkable goals... Well tomorrow morning for another match!

Well tonight is the touchdown for Lta ennoying and Kin. Looks like they will get to watch the 3rd place and finals during the day!

Local news... the wife of the man who died in their wedding last year at Hilton hotel ( fell off the building) was found dead yesterday. She had attempted suicide a number of times and her plunge from the HDB flat killed her. Really a tragic incident. Overseas news.. a Singapore undergraduate in an exchange program in Hong Kong got herself in trouble when she went to the pub to drink alone and got drunk. Some Nepalese men invited her to their yacht and then raped her...

Mybakuteh is recovering well but still not enough to take the air-con. Should be back to exercising pretty soon. This is a rather busy week for the indianboyfriend and need to keep fingers crossed so no jia ban again!

Ha!Ha! For want of a better picture the indianboyfriend has pasted a picture from a collection of "cute Kittens" page. Cute? Looks more threatening!

Tua Tai Chi ( da shi) at DBS yesterday as their ATM system failed from 6 am to 10 am yesterday. Imagine 9 out of ten Singaporeans have a DBS account. Wonder what will happen if one day the records are wiped out!!! Sad local news.. a young Singh who was about to be wed went on a driving spree in the Nissan Cifero and knocked into a tree and killed himself and injured his passenger friends.   World Cup.. Ha! Ha! Semi final on this Wed and Thur morning. Will you crawl out of bed at 2.30 pm and watch it?????

Mybakuteh is still nursing a runny nose.. suspected she caught a virus over the weekend! At Yishun, the indianboyfriend call it quits at 8.30 pm last night and had a terrific sleep... as good as gold now...

Tomorrow night Lta Ennoying is coming in to start their momentus European journey.,..Heard about this joke of the cowboy who rode into saloon and had a drink. Suddenly a customer stands up and shout "3". Everyone laughs. Then another man shouts "11" and there was continuous laughter. Puzzled he asked the bartender who said they people are so familar with the jokes that they gave them numbers instead of retelling them. Then the visitor stood up and shouted "10". No one laughed. He asked the bartender why. The Bartender curtly replied, "That because of the way you told the joke!!"

Si Peh How Lian

Yep! The lian is actually the tyres on the faithful Matrix. Got four of them changed after Lta Ennoying expert opinion that they are worn out! And price comparison is pretty cool. Got them for a good price of $75 each! Hmm. the person who buys the Matrix at the end of the year will get a good deal - a set of new tyres and also a newly sprayed dented side!! Ha! Ha!
Overseas news.. more suicide in Korea. This time it is actor Park Yong Ha.. Those Winter Sonata die hards will remember him... Seems he hang himself over distress over a sick father. He is 33 years old.
Over in Rumania the diplomat who went on a driving killing spree, Ionesu,
is being charged and tried in the Rumanian court. He should be brought back to Singapore where he can be sentenced to some caning, man.
Local news.. it's soon kuay for breakfast this morning complete with the chilli. Still no sign of the lost town club card...Today is Friday and it will be a World
Cup weekend for sure. Favuorites to win  are Spain, Argentina, Uraguay and Brazil.... ( The indianboyfriend talk as if he has been following the matches!).

Garmen want to remove ERP!

Ha! Ha! The indianboyfriend with media corp artist - not the young pretty one but the one who was hit by the golf ball in money not enough! How come? Well he is also a GE agent! Hmm.. should try the easier way - get more advertising revenue !

World cup- be braced up this weekend for the quarter finals.. there are two 10 pm matches so you will lose no sleep!

Yes! Believe it or not Garmen want to remove ERP but wait garmen not so stupid to lose millions of revenue.. They want to replace it with a GPS system because gantries are expensive.. This will be based on distance travelled charges, not on entering certain area.. Aiyah it will take at least a few years to develop... Perhaps then they can sell the gantry to some other country who want to copy our system!

Today is Thursday and weekend is round the corner. Mybakuteh has been having a spate of inconveniences. First her sing Card died on her... and then was suddenly resurrected... Yesterday she lost her town club card and it seems some one must have picked it up. But these are trivalities which we should more laugh about than worry as life is too short!

Got a little shocked to learn the last Lotto draw in Aussieland made 3 people a 17 millionaire! Wonder what a person can do with 17 million!!! But stop dreaming and go back to work - that is the only way you can slowly become rich - hard work!

Looks like people are travelling abit. Learned that some of the Cheoks are planning to go to Chengdu to see the xiong mao and Lee is contemplating a Silk route trip. For the indianboyfriend.. well paiseh.. it's modest Malacca and KL... good enough lah!
