A Toast for Hannah

Tea cups for Hannah as she is certainly our cup of tea!

Another view of the same cup. The following are the images of another cup.

Ha!Ha! Hannah will be remembered every morning at the breakfast table!
Local observation. The sky is still bright at 7 pm! No more cold nights and ha!ha! No more Master chefs. Watched Ah Di last thing and boy how events have changed. It was still very complicated and cannot imagine how Monday one last episode can end it all! After Monday, to watch backwards  - just like Stephen Covey said, Start with the end! One Loan  shark runner was arrested after he ( 55 years old) chained up a debtor's HDB.
Today is Sunday. Have a great day!

Still Yellow Yellow

Sarge Wen's ( now upgraded to Ah Chek) rule was cannot go and buy durian and eat and then blog about it. But this is different. The indianboyfriend did not buy the durians. Halt Chor ( now upgraded to Ko Poh) went to her's durian plantation in Pontian and came back with a bag of durians. All yellow yellow.
Ha! Also a bag of rambutans.. very good.. took hoot type ie the skin will come off the seed.
Alas two of us cannot finish more than three so Ko Poh has to do the honours herself over the next day or so. Also Ko Poh managed to do the impossible... can an exchange on tupperware... they are gauranteed for life.
Lo and Behold as good as new.
And hanging on her wall is a new painting done by her - water colour. It is a picture of Sarge Wen in Ballarat panning for gold. Very ziang one.
Heard Kaledoscop3 picture is work in progress.
Local news garmen opening all 7 musuems for free in Aug as part of National day. Will go to Asian civilisation musuem on Monday to see ping ma yong ( terracotta) and save $8! Ha!Ha!
Tonight is the BBQ. Enjoy!

First Day Cover Stamps for Hannah

Ha!Ha! Hannah is now the face in the local Singapore stamp.. and Mummy and Daddy too. Then there is the overseas postage.
That is not all. There are postcards and envelopes to go with the stamps. And what is more is the foot or hand imprint set which can be captured for life!
Ha! Ha! All made possible by Singapore Post's creativity.
And here is a shot of the happy Grandma
This is what you call smiling from year to year.
Local news. Singapore drew with Malaysia last night to make it to the third round of the World cup. Think they will be decimated in the next round as there are giants like South Korea and Australia there!
But they did a great job and the team has come a long way. Singapore in fact had a few misses or the score would have been higher.
Here is a strange picture.
The indianboyfriend was at this hawker centre this morning and so a long queue. Wondering what it was, like a good Singaporean, he joined the queue and end up having a nice breakfast.
Ha!Ha! Have a great weekend and a wonderful Korean BBQ this Saturday at Sarge Wen's place.

Hannah brought the new Redesignations!

It's Hannah!

A Most beautiful Baby was born yesterday. Hannah has brought a bunch of new titles for all us be it Grandpa, Grandma, Uncle, Aunt  or Grand Aunt!
Also won the indianboyfriend's heart by allowing him to see her before he returns to Singapore in the evening!
Here is another lovely shot of her in resting in sleep.

Mummy and Daddy in the baby room. Only parents are allowed in.
Look at the happy faces of Uncle Sarge Wen and Grandma mybakuteh!
Kin will be in the hospital until Sunday. As Daddy Lta  Ennoying have said, defer your visit if you are not feeling well as Hannah has just come out of a fever.
Back in Singapore, Garmen very good. Buy the flags and stick them in our block for us! Also local news, Mr Kuan is the latest person vying for the President's job. Tan Kin Lian remarks that the President's should be the voice of the people has drawn alot of flak on the website.
Meanwhile, no more wearing of socks at home or jumpers. Just dorn a thin Tee shirt and shorts and you can walk around town. Ha!Ha! Winter suddenly disappeared.
Today is Thursday. Have a good day and continue to pray for Mother and Child.

The Fullness of Time

Kin has some contractions yesterday but they went away. Then this morning at about 5 something, they came again and she is now in St John's hospital. The dilation has started. So let us all pray for a safe and smooth delivery.
Now for the best curry in Perth.
Curry Master Chef Justin with his pot of savoury curry last night. Unlike his mother who never cooked curry, Justin was self taught. Hmm must pitch his skills against Uncle Hin Weng's famous curry when he is back in Singapore!

Unfortunately, Sarge Wen has to jia ban and only three of us lucky people could savour the curry fresh from the pot!
Nothing much happened yesterday except the arrival of Sarge Wen's new books. The indianboyfriend in now simultaneously reading two books already and these additions will be challenging.
Ha!Ha! The four hour week looks good if you want to make it rich and still have time to enjoy your life! Originally it was turned down by 26 out of 27 publishers and now it has been translated into 35 languages!!!
Oh yes. Uncle B was piang xin... treated mybakuteh well but was unkind to the indianboyfriend.
Today is an exciting day as we await the arrival of the baby.

Too Cold to Jog

Imagine having to jog in your sweater in the afternoon. Temps really down and in the night your toes tingle. But there are sights to see when jogging. This is the cat the indianboyfriend saw on the cold brick wall!

Winter is also regenerative. Look at the blooms in Sarge Wen's house.

The spring wild flower bloom. There is more.
If you think these grew very well, look at those at Kaledoscop3's place.
There's not much activity yesterday except we made a booking for deep sea fishing and an appointment for the electrician to come. Look at the rates the electrician charges, it is better than studying medicine!
The day ended well with a surprise. Korean Dumplings..
Like Kim chi, there is a dry and water version. Everyone enjoyed it thoroughly. Today is Tuesday - its time to visit rich Uncle B. - actually it should be Monday but it's past already!
Today should be a fine day with temp at 20 degrees. Enjoy!

Themed Restaurant

Walow... what is this? A giant chilli burger with beer chips... Hmm.. this was where we har dinner last night at Jimmy Deane.
And the T-Bone steak that Lta Ennonying is always talking about. Too big and so Sarge could not finish it.
And what is this? Reading papers with the Blue Brothers!

And more happy poses with the oldies.
You have to order at the counter and pay first before you eat. And there is a large menu on the board for you to view.
Or you can order from the colourful menu with caricature of celebrities of the past.
This is the fish and chips the indianboyfriend ordered.
And the main course - the ribs of the day. This is a large portion but a little diappointing as not as juicy as Tony Roma's.
Anyway everyone enjoyed the meal. Sarge Wen goggle on the rating of the restaurant and only 27% says they agree. What was our verdict?
Well for the ribs, mybakuteh said "No deal".  Too dry or as Mr Manu says.. "no congrazions... not enough sauce". Everyone came out with an "Agree" verdict. Nice ambience, good service, good food and can park just outside.
And the cost? Paid by Scooporn!!!!In Perth some bad news as the sand dune monster truck tumbled over at Lancelin. Most of the injured were Singaporeans, including three who were seriously injured with spinal problems. Must give credit to Singapore garmen. The Ministry of Foreign affairs flew in officers to help the Singaporeans. Good news is Aussie Evans is the first Aussie to win the Tour De France. There is a interesting report of woman having a third nipple on her sole. Ha!Ha! No more breastfeeding - it's foot feeding!
Today is Monday so have a wonderful week ahead!

$1.95 Brekky

Ha!Ha! Sarge Wen blamed mybakuteh for oversleeping and missing the
Sat 8 to 9 am promotion of $1.90 for brekky instead of $3.50. But it actaully costs more than $3.50 for Sarge Wen as he upgraded his plate! And the Coffee was great at $1.95.  Look at the bigger plate Sarge Wen has.
People here very disciplined. They take thier plates and put them in the plate tray area. You can never do this at our Singapore Hawker Centre. Even at MacDonald people are not doing it!
After brekky we fell into the shopping trap
Looks like Sarge Wen is inspired by the Renovators program!
We had to be very careful with this mirror as it may be 13 years bad luck if we break it. ( Ha!Ha! 13 years of Lotto savings). Anyway the Mitshibishi proved to be trusty as wwe loaded everything inside it comfortably.

Lunch was overwhelming as Srage Wen drove to buy the chicken Karege. And he had the toufu and the egg plant too! No wonder everyone had a good nap before church.
At church the preacher spoke on three groans and a glory. He explained that the calamities of this world are not God instilled for punishment but a physical world gone wrong after creation. A key point was that God groans too and the spirit intercedes for us. After church we cancelled the Midlands dinner and had vietnamese instead.
This is the goat phoo.. there was a table debate on what the meat of a young, matured and old goat called. But whatever the outcome the meat was well stewed and nice.

Everyone was filled for the evening and for the eventful day. Today is Sunday. Evans has done Australia proud to top the Tour de France - he is the third non-French to do so since Tour De France ( some one asked why called Tour and got no tour bus) started. And he is the oldest at 34! Back in Singapore, we beat Malaysia 5 -3 in the World Cup preliminaries despite Malaysia scoring first straight at the start of the game. Also the tragic news of singer Amy Winehouse who died in England in her home at the age of 27.
The Sun is up so enjoy!

Hot Steam Boat in Langford Cold Winter Night

Ha!Ha! Try to identify the voices in this warm family dinner. Look at he boiling soup. It was a sumptious steamboat prepared laboriously by Kin, supplemented with the roast duck and char siew from Kaledoscop3. The wan tan made by her were too beautiful to be eaten! The fish and prawns were really fresh and sweet!
And here is the spread. The wan tan is on top of the picture. Oh yes forgot to mention to lovely mee pok.
And these are the dinners. Sarge Wen could not make it due to jia ban on that night. And after dinner, it was pressie time.
Kin and Lta Ennoying opening their pressies from Singapore.
Those who take will be taken. Ha!Ha! A shot of the pressie from us.. only catch is that it can be used only when the baby is 3 years old.. got to change the batteries by then!
No visit to Langford is complete without watching the main event...the feeding of the dogs... And Justin has not changed. Say "do you...." and the dog will tilt his head. Throw him a ballon and this is what will happen!
Today is Weekend and also the day for Church! And maybe some shopping at Ikea. The indianboyfriend has to make a trip back to Singapore next Wednesday for some business.  Hope he will not miss the baby arrival!Pray for the good health of Kin. Enjoy!
