As expected, Thaksin's sister, Yingluck won a convincing victory in the watershed election in Thailand. Looks like Thailand is going to have its first lady premier! And will Thaksin be returning to Thailand???
The BBQ at Boy's place was a raving success.
Look at what Chef Boy whipped up. His secret recipe is of course, against the advice of all, to BBQ the fish without tin foil.
And there was mussels ( not shown) and exotic giant clams. They were pretty good and chewy.
Joab is the mushmellow boy. He just sits quietly and devour them. Both the white and colour ones.
And while they eat, the children play and eat at the same time. It was right spot to have a family event.
But it was a sad ending. Out for desert came a box of magnum ice-cream. But it was only for the children and Chef! Don't they know in the advert, it is adults who eat magnum!!!!
Anyway, the evening ended with a kind offer from Wai Ping and Hubby who made arrangements for their children so they could drive us back to Yishun. They kindly insisted to taking us home although we were happy with a MRT drop. And it was an educational trip. We learnt that Beng Khoon favourite cha mee hoon at Chong Pang, Hup Lee is owned by Jam's Aunty!!!! And their family has 50 outlets in Singapore - so Chong Pang is not the only one you can go to!
Today is Monday and Youth Day. Lucky teachers and students ( and retirees) can pull the blanket over and sleep on.
