More Yishun Drama

Alamak, came back from swimming yesterday and saw large crowd at block 765. Fire engine, ambulance also got. Then found out it was a fire. Saw the medic applying oxygen to an old man.

Fire very serious as it gutted out the whole flat. The external of the higher floors were also affected as their aircon were on fire too. In the evening news over TV, it was featured. Said it was the THIRD time the house caught fire and the neighbours were fed up with the side effects on their homes.
Wonder if the man was using a kerosene stove to cook!
Hin Weng and Poh Choo came to Yishun for Breakfast. As we arrived first, the indianboyfriend SMS him " Kow Beh" ( Dao le ma). The reply was puzzling. "Okay". Soon they arrived and Hin Wen asked why I sms him "Kow beh"( Cry father). No wonder the strange reply. Anyway, kow beh or cow beh, it was a lovely meal together.
And look at gloves galore. One dozen for $6/-, that is until we found at CK, there was another kind for $3.80!!!

Durians price ( and size) have dropped top 50cts. But the indianboyfriend went up market and bought large ones only to be disappointed. Yellow, yellow but a little watery as they are not as fresh as we thought. The $2 ones are still the best as they are firmer and dry. One more chance to eat before heading to Perth!

And it is ginger galore. Only $6 per kilo lah.

And the new way to pass customers. Bake them in the oven!
Watched a program on killer whale pod ( group). They are pretty intelligent. When the saw a seal on an ice-berg, they tried to break the ice but it was to thick. So the formed a row and swam below the ice creating an under wave which broke the ice into five smaller pieces. Still the seal was on the smaller ice. They repeated the process and wave caused the water to splash over the ice and wash the seal down only to be eaten heartily. And they always share their catch.
Today is Sunday and its time for church to thank the good Lord for his abounding mercies.
